The room was nicely appointed and spacious. I was disappointed to find that my room was almost directly across from the elevators, which meant that my afternoon and early evening relaxation time was often disrupted by the sound of all the traffic coming and going mixed with loud talking to each other and the dinging elevator sounds. The staff member checked me in and gave me instructions on how to get to my room (cross the bridge, hold the room key up to the black circle on the elevator, etc.). Thankfully there is free parking in the attached parking garage on the second floor where you can just unload and walk directly into the beautifully decorated lobby. The room was a bit pricey, especially with a random $30 "additional charges" charge (which I regretfully forgot to ask about upon checking in), but it was worth it for my first visit here. I reserved a king room with balcony more than three months prior to my stay. If you have a car, the closest one is at 950 E Ogden Ave in Naperville. Both have restaurants in downtown Naperville.Īnother Chicago classic is Portillo's -this would be where you'd get a classic Chicago hot dog or an Italian beef. Lou Malnati's is Laura's favorite, but Giordano's is also good. If you're visiting Chicago from out of town, we can't not recommend you try some deep dish pizza while you're here. There are TONS more restaurants in downtown Naperville, from fast casual to burgers and BBQ, to fine dining, so if you're staying nearby we definitely recommend walking around (or searching online) and seeing what intrigues you. We haven't yet had the opportunity to try it out, but it looks very cute and hope to make it there soon. If you're looking for a fancier meal with fun cocktails, Bev's might be a great option for you. They have a huge menu, and we're frequent guests of their Wheaton location. This place has delicious gourmet pizzas and apps.įor a classic breakfast, you can't go wrong with Egg Harbor. We have had brunch here and we HIGHLY recommend it!Īnother favorite restaurant of ours is Gia Mia, and they have a downtown Naperville location as well. Santo Cielo is on the top floor of the Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk and has great floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing views of downtown Naperville. Both Santo Cielo & Quiubo are run by the owners of one our favorite restaurants in Glen Ellyn (A Toda Madre) and have really fantastic Mexican food and delicious cocktails (the fancy, bougie kind).
